Owning rare and vintage music doesn't need to break the bank. Sure there are those albums and cds you see listed on eBay/Amazon at ridiculous prices but If you're anything like me, you've probably asked yourself, "Does anyone actually pay $1000" After all, the Christian market has very few rare items that are as valuable as Blue Note Jazz or the famous Beatles Butcher cover which has fetched upwards of $20,000 for just the right condition on the right label pressed at certain pressing plants and in MONO of course.
Yes, an autographed or sealed version of Stryper's To Hell With the Devil (Angel Cover) can fetch as much as $350 to $400 and Malachia Under the Blade maybe $350, but it's still not $20,000 smackers (That's "dollars" for those of you that have never heard that phrase).
OK.... I digress....
Many Christian titles, especially those in the Christian rock/metal genre are more rare and obscure simply due to the nature of the limited copies originally made available. So finding that album in great condition is not always easy. Thankfully even when you do find it it's not gonna cost you a mortgage or rent payment to snag one.
Here are some titles that you'll want to have in your collection. Many of these we only have 1 or 2 copies, so that time to buy is when you see it. Don't be that guy that came back later hoping to find the item you wanted already sold.

Ark Angel - Warrior (Used Vinyl) 1980 PROG ROCK STAR SONG
Ark Angel was Kemper Crabb's (Caedmon's Call, Atomic Opera) first band. This is one of the most innovative and significant albums in the history of Christian Rock. It's been called PROG as well as PSYCH. What it is is simply a master piece. This is a really rare gem that sells on Amazon for $259
This is an original US pressing on JOYEUSE GARDE RECORDINGS JGR 001 U.S. LP from 1980. The record and the sleeve are in Near Mint condition. It comes with the original inner sleeve as well.
Jimmy Hotz (mastermind behind the great prog album Beyond the Crystal Sea LP) co-produced and engineered the record. Cover art by George Werth, who also did Glass Harp’s Song In the Air cover.

STRYPER - TO HELL WITH THE DEVIL (1986, Vinyl, Enigma) Famous Angel Cover
Stryper doesn't need an introduction unless you've lived under a rock from 1984 to present. This in the famous ANGEL ARTWORK COVER. The actual album is TO HELL WITH THE DEVIL and one of the more sought after versions of this album because it was pulled from the Christian bookstore and was labeled offensive because it contained a pentagram. his is a Mint Gatefold with some normal wear. 1986 ENIGMA (PJAS-73237)

Barren Cross - Rock for the King (Vinyl)
This rare gem sells on Amazon for between $125 - $200. If you have been holding out for a sealed copy at a great price, this is for you. We only have 1 copy. Still sealed in the original shrink. No holes, tears, marks or corner cuts.
This is the first edition cover that was released on Star Song in 1986. There were later releases that had a different cover. You can be confident this is the original pressing.

This is the original first pressing of stripers yellow and black attack 6 song EP. (71064–1 enigma records) IT IS STILL SEALED!!!! With a small saw cut. PRISTINE!!!
There were many later versions of this album released including ones with Robert Sweet’s initials cut off of one of the missiles on the front as well as a version that contain two other songs.

Kit and Jimmy Lloyd - IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE... (Vinyl) PSYCH ROCK
Psychedelic Hard Rock/Acid Rock. A couple of brothers with a light-to-heavy rock sound and the mighty Evan Williams at the production helm. A private pressing on a Southern California label called Moningstar Christian Recordings, later distributed by Canada’s New Born (NB 7005). Several musicians here with guest appearances by Malcolm Wild, Karen Lafferty, Phoenix Sonshine, and Kevin and Rick Thompson (of Sweet Comfort). A couple classy rockers in ‘Glory Train’ and ‘The Race’ with biting lead guitar. Elsewhere some acoustic ballads, country rock and a few mellow tracks. Williams slips in some speedy synth fills on a couple songs. String orchestration in places. The original cover has a photo of the guys standing beneath a tree. New Born replaced it a bizarre illustration that makes them look like werewolves. (The Archivist, 4th Edition by Ken Scott).

Altar Boys - When You're A Rebel (Vinyl)
1985 Broken Records (Original Vinyl Record). Yep, this is 32 years old vinyl that is still sealed and in perfect condition. Flawless. This 3 piece punk rock band fronted by Mike Stand, was one of the best Christian rock bands of the 80's. Energy, driving rock. These guys gave us some of the most emotion and hard driving tunes of the day. When you listen to this again, you'll remember why.

Stryper - To Hell With The Devil (Vinyl) Autographed
“To Hell with the Devil” is Stryper’s third album, released on October 24, 1986 on Enigma Records. Singles from the album, "Calling on You", "Free" and "Honestly" were popular mainstream hits playing on radio stations, as well as MTV, in regular rotation giving the band much-needed broad appeal. The songs “More than a Man” and “The Way” as well as the title track, “To Hell With the Devil”, gave their already growing fan base fist-pumping anthems to sing along with.

Daniel Amos (DA) - Vox Humana (Vinyl) 1984 Refuge
Vox Humana, 6th studio album Daniel Amos, released on Refuge Records in 1984. It is the third album in their ¡Alarma! Chronicles album cycle.Vox Humana was a much brighter album than its predecessor, Doppelgänger, and included catchy, synthesizer-driven pop songs with lyrics about technology's role in American culture. "Travelog" was a song about a television-obsessed man "basking in the blue light".Danish author Søren Kierkegaard, Polish poet Czesław Miłosz, and Britons Malcolm Muggeridge and William Blake are all quoted in the liner notes of the album. DA also included a tribute to Blake with the ballad, "William Blake.""Dance Stop", a song condemning nuclear arms escalation, asked listeners to dance to the song and stop suddenly when the word "stop" is sung. Due to the fast, upbeat punk rock style of the song, it is nearly impossible to follow the song's musical directions. The song went on to become a popular concert favorite for DA fans in later years, with audience members doing their best to follow the rule.

Force 3 - Warrior of Light (Vinyl)
It's hard to find new/sealed PURE METAL titles, but here is one form 1988. A band from the UK. called Force 3. You might recognize the name Charlie Wilson who was "100% Proof"
With the demise of a highly successful heavy rock band of the early 80s -100% Proof - Charlie Wilson set out on a new course with a new band called Force 3. In 1988 Force 3 signed a three-year contract with America's Pure Metal Records then recorded their debut album called 'Warrior Of Light' which sold 30,000 copies largely in America's burgeoning white metal underground. Sadly, it didn't ring fame or fortune for Force 3. The group split and reformed several times, played support for top metal bands like Leviticus and Bloodgood but never got the break. - Cross Rythms

1989 Enigma Records RARE FIRST PRESSING. Produced by Oz Fox of Stryper. This is one of those timeless masterpieces that came out in the late 80's. We are a stunned as you that we located a handful of these stuck in the back corner of a warehouse down south. We only have a few copies of these in stock. The 1989 Enigma Records debut full length of Guardian, First Watch, needs little introduction as a classic melodic metal album worthy of a top five finish in our list of the Top 50 Christian Metal & Hard Rock Albums of the Eighties. Its release follows on the heels of quite the storied history from the group, which traces to 1985 and debut demo Rock In Victory, a period in which it went under the Fusion moniker and played an innovative form of ‘space metal’ with its individual members dressing in futuristic style body armor.
